After an easing of the rules during the restrictions of the last two years, there is going to be a crackdown this season.
NON PLAYING SCORER : A £20* fine for the first two offences and then the fines will be increased and
warnings will be sent out to clubs. * Note : Increased to £20 for 2025
SCORERS: Kathy Parker of Woolpit will be pleased to train prospective scorers and Suffolk Cricket are also running a free online scorers training programme, so clubs need to put people forward.
TIME OF INNINGS : Same times but no allowance for anything other than a serious injury. Mid- innings drinks have to be brought on the field as they always used to be. Players to stay on the field and not go to the pavilion for personal drinks . Players can leave the field at any time during the game with the umpire's permission. Players who leave the field without permission as was the norm during the covid days will be dealt with as per the laws of cricket. i.e 5 PENALTY RUNS TO THE BATTING SIDE when fielding a
ball after returning to the field of play.
